Groups & Pricing
Groups
Most manufacturers divide their dies into groups. This is an indication of the size of the dies as well as the cartridge, the cost to manufacture the dies, and the number of dies in a die set.
- Groups A through J are 7/8"-14 thread. Virtually all reloading presses today use this thread.
- Groups K and L are 1"-14 thread and must be used with an adapter bushing in a press having a removable bushing in the press head.
- Group M are 1 1/4"-12 thread which fits most larger "C" and "O" presses with the top bushing removed. This group is our entire shotgun line. We also have a good selection of these dies in 1 1/4"-18 for use in our Champion Press.
- Group N is 1 1/4"-12 thread which fits most larger "C" and "O" presses with the top bushing removed.
- Groups O through U are 1 1/2"-12 thread which fit most 50 BMG loading presses.
- Groups V and W are 2"-12 thread and fit our Rock Crusher Press with a 2" top plate or bushing.
- Groups X and Y are 2 3/4"-12 thread and fit our Rock Crusher Press.
Shell Holders
- Groups A through L are for use with shell holders or shell plates having the industry standard depth of 0.125". (Except 1873 Maynard calibers)
- Groups M and N can use a variety of shell holder types.
- Groups O through Y are for use with threaded shell holders with a standard depth of 0.250".
Custom Dies
Custom dies are available in any caliber. If you don't see your caliber listed or require special dimensions, you will need to supply either a cartridge print, 2 fired cases, or a chamber cast. We will then assign a group price and inform you of any additional tooling or setup charges.
Availability
We have a large inventory of reloading dies, but we can't stock everything. Our current manufacturing time for out of stock dies and special orders is usually around 18-24 months.
